Russell Penzer
 • PARTNER
Russell Penzer is a partner in the firm's Litigation practice group.  His practice covers a wide array of litigation in both federal and state courts.  

Mr. Penzer is admitted to practice before the courts of New York as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.  He is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, the Federal Bar Council and the Federal Bar Association.

Mr. Penzer is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook (B.S., Cum Laude, 1995) and New York University School of Law (J.D., 1998), where was an Editor of the Annual Survey of American Law.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Penzer served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jacob Mishler, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of New York and also as an associate at the New York City law firm of Rosenman & Colin, LLP.  Mr. Penzer has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Legal Methods at the Touro School of Law.

Mr. Penzer is the co-author of an article entitled "Analyzing Securitized Mortgages on Commercial Property" which was published in the New York Law Journal on March 11, 2010.  He also co-authored an article entitled "Broad Scope May Trigger Catastrophe for the Unwary" which was published in the New York Law Journal on May 12, 2010.

Mr. Penzer is actively involved as a volunteer with the Epilepsy Foundation of Long Island, an organization dedicated to providing education, counseling and residential care to Long Island residents with epilepsy, developmental disabilities and related conditions.
